Always check with the store for questions. So, if you order personalizations, they won't ship until after I'm back in Seattle. They have a limited number of books that already have just a signature in them that you can order before I'm back, but you'll have to check for details with the store.
Okay, that's all for now. Only a handful of days left until Last Sacrifice! Current Mood tired Tags last sacrifice. November 30th, , pm. Ok, I've had a long day, so I'll keep this short and sweet and let you get to the good stuff! Through more wacky mishaps, the first chapter didn't end up where we expected and got posted at a different site than I last told you. It's crazy Every time, it's something completely unrelated to the previous things! It's like the tech gods hate us.
Anyway, without further delay, I give you: the first chapter of Last Sacrifice. And thanks for hanging in there. Current Mood relieved Tags last sacrifice. November 27th, , am. As I predicted, blog entries have been sporadic.
I've been pretty busy trying to keep up with my deadlines before Last Sacrifice and the tour. I'll be leaving town before release day to do some promotion type stuff--so for me, this is all going to kick off in less than a week! If you've missed it, this link will take you to my December tour schedule. Can't wait to meet a lot of you! If you don't live in an area I'll be visiting, you can still order an autographed copy of LS or any of my other books from University Bookstore.
But this is important : University Bookstore cannot ship LS before release day. So, if you order a signed copy, it will ship on December 7 and then need travel time. If you're dying to read the book that day, then just get it locally. U Bookstore needs the lead time both to process the orders they have hundreds right now and actually sit me down before I leave town to personalize all of them. The store ships internationally, but all questions about that and any selling type stuff are best answered by them.
I push U Bookstore a lot because people like signed books, but seriously, there are good stores out there everywhere, in every country. Your local indie, favorite chain store, or mega online retailer should also be able to sell you LS. Other news: the first chapter of Last Sacrifice is going to be posted on November Here's what's important about this: it is NOT going up at midnight. So, there's no need to start clicking refresh at am. I'm not the one posting it, so I honestly can't tell you when it'll be up.
Get your sleep! You need it. Then check here or my website. The instant I'm notified about the posting, I'll pop the link up here for you. Other questions I've been getting are about when LS is being released in other countries. Check with your bookstore or contact your country's Penguin branch with questions. Other countries will get English copies whenever your local bookstore or an importer can ship them in, and they're the only ones that can give you info.
Translations always take longer, and at this point, there's no non-English speaking country that will have the book out in their native language on release day. Lastly, there's a whole mess o' video material out there waiting for you. I also posted some belated Halloween stuff on Facebook and Twitter, but I don't think it ever got put here.
First is a video from Open Road Media interviewing me and going over some of my past costumes. The other video was done by author Daniel Marks and is a hilarious visit to my office during my Halloween party. Hope you enjoy! Thanks so much for all the LS support that's been rolling in. We're almost there! Current Mood restless Tags last sacrifice , news you can use. November 17th, , pm. Hey, guys. Sorry things have been so quiet!
Basically, the reason I haven't been blogging much is that I'm on a pretty aggressive schedule to meet some December deadlines. So, I've been giving most of my writing energy to the books these days.
So let's do some catching up here, ok? First up, last Friday was my birthday, and thank you so much for the many kind wishes I received! It was pretty amazing to get so many nice notes from all around the world. With the different time zones, it was kind of like my birthday lasted two days. So again, thank you! Lots of cool things have been going on. Since my last update, Penguin Australia has made two more Last Sacrifice teasers, which you can view by scrolling through their YouTube page.
Over in this hemisphere, Penguin US has made a Last Sacrifice app for Facebook, so you can spread the love to your friends. Over in tour news, a note for Minnesota folks. The start time for my December 11 in St.
Paul has been changed from 1pm to pm, so now you have an extra half-hour to sleep in. All the updated tour info and policies can be viewed over on my calendar page. Okay, now that business is out of the way, we'll do some show and tell. Recent web sleuthing turned up some international covers for Succubus Shadows. Here are German and French editions, respectively.
As always, I've got a couple other new international covers kicking around in email and on my other computer that I'll put up one of these days.
Back to work for me Current Mood content Tags last sacrifice. November 10th, , pm. Okay, guys. Sorry for the delay in posting anything. First up, if you missed the last post, make sure you check it or my website to see my tour schedule in December. Maybe I'll be in your area! The second thing to address is a lot of questions about when the excerpt for Last Sacrifice is going up.
Traditionally, I've posted the first chapter a month before release date, but I said a little while ago that I wasn't going to be able to do that this time. Okay, that's all I've got! Not much to do except wait for LS to come out.
I actually had the weekend off in New York, which was super fun and why I haven't been around much my phone can't update my blog so well. I visit lots of cool cities on book tours but almost never get to sight-see because I'm only in them for one day.
Because I've been here for a few days and have had my husband with me, we've actually gotten to do some touristy stuff. It was awesome. Then, tonight, after I'd finished up some promo stuff for Penguin, we got to go be in the audience for a taping of The Daily Show and see Jon Stewart from afar. Good times! Touristy stuff is over now. Tomorrow begins Day 1 of ten straight days of book signings in different cities.
It'll be hectic, but it's always lots of fun! I'll post recaps and pictures of all of them once things get going! In closing, I really hope you guys like Last Sacrifice!
Be careful--spoilers are everywhere. For Georgina and Eugenie fans, I'll have some cool stuff for you guys soon once the VA buzz has settled a little. Hang in there! Tags: last sacrifice. Recent Posts from This Journal. Post a new comment Error. Post a new comment. Preview comment.
