Spiral has taken to her role as a streamer well. She switches between playing to her audience and torturing X-Factor with the reveal of the mutant who was murdered with ease. She twists the knife further by revealing that she willingly allowed herself to be shot for stream views.

Spiral stages the reveal in the most exploitative way possible, instructing her broadcast team to shoot the scene with "ugly lighting. It was eventually revealed that Spiral was the twisted version of Wayword. After years of captivity, Mojo had her body and mind modified in an attempt to make her loyal to him.

The soul piece had been removed many years ago by Mojo in order to keep Spiral enslaved. Spiral, with her soul completed, began to leave until she realized that Mojo would easily defeat Gambit and Rogue.

Instead, Spiral joined in the battle, and when Rogue absorbed her powers, the trio managed to defeat Mojo. Spiral then teleported Gambit and Rogue back to apartment on Earth. For a time, her trans-reality powers have been cancelled by Mojo, and she can only teleport on Earth where Mojo dumped her. Spiral demonstrated highly developed skills in cybernetics and genetic manipulation which she has used to turn humans into powerful cyborgs at her Body Shoppe. As such, Mojo has been known to leave Spiral stranded on Earth. She was revealed to have conquered an alternate timeline and referred to herself as "The Apocalypse.

Spiral had kidnapped that universe's Sunspot and tortured him by making him make love to her until his rescue. With the aid of Shatterstar, Spiral was evidently defeated and apparently returned to Mojo's services. She later attacked the X-Men together with Mojo, but ended up defeated once again.

For More Information: Endangered Species. In the Endangered Species storyline, Spiral and Mojo were approached by Beast while searching for solutions for preventing mutants from becoming extinct. Although she offered no further advice, she did help Beast by informing him that no amount of science would solve this problem, and that he should instead turn to magic for a solution. With Spiral holding off Northstar , the Red Queen was defeated and she was forced teleport the rest of the Sisterhood to safety to an unknown location.
